Abstract
============================================================ The quality selection of oranges is generally performed manually based on fruit color and weight, making the process time-consuming and highly dependent on the operator's accuracy. This study aims to design and develop an Internet of Things (IoT)-based orange quality selection system using color and weight sensors that can automatically classify oranges and provide real-time monitoring through the Blynk platform. This study employed the Prototyping development method, which consists of the Communication, Quick Plan, Modeling Quick Design, Construction of Prototype, and Deployment, Delivery, and Feedback stages. The system was developed using an ESP32-WROOM microcontroller, a TCS34725 color sensor, a Load Cell integrated with an HX711 module, and two servo motors as fruit sorting actuators. The results show that the system is capable of reading fruit color and weight, classifying oranges into ripe, unripe, and rotten categories, controlling the servo motors according to the classification results, and displaying monitoring data on the Blynk platform in real time. Black Box and White Box testing results indicate that all system functions operate according to the designed specifications. Therefore, the proposed system can support the orange quality selection process more quickly, consistently, and efficiently.
