Abstract
Penerapan teknologi informasi berperan penting dalam meningkatkan efisiensi operasional bisnis, termasuk kantin. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang sistem Point of Sale (POS) berbasis web untuk Kantin STMIK Widya Cipta Dharma sebagai solusi atas metode manual yang kurang efisien. Menggunakan pendekatan prototype, penelitian ini mengumpulkan data melalui wawancara dan observasi. Tahapan meliputi analisis kebutuhan, perancangan dengan UML, implementasi menggunakan PHP, MySQL, dan Bootstrap, serta pengujian dengan metode black box dan beta testing. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem POS yang dikembangkan mampu mencatat transaksi digital, mengelola stok otomatis, dan menyajikan laporan penjualan real-time, meningkatkan efisiensi serta kualitas layanan kantin. ============================================================ The implementation of information technology plays a crucial role in enhancing business operational efficiency, including in canteens. This study aims to design a web-based Point of Sale (POS) system for the STMIK Widya Cipta Dharma canteen as a solution to inefficient manual methods. Using a prototype approach, data were collected through interviews and observations. The research stages include requirement analysis, system design using UML, implementation with PHP, MySQL, and Bootstrap, and testing using black box and beta testing methods. The results show that the developed POS system can record digital transactions, manage stock automatically, and provide real-time sales reports, improving canteen efficiency and service quality.
