Suray Galih Wicaksono. 2026. Perancangan Sistem Penjadwalan Seminar Akademik Berbasis Web Menggunakan Metode Rule-Based untuk Meminimalisasi Bentrok Waktu dan Ruangan pada STMIK Widya Cipta Dharma. Dibimbing oleh Pembimbing Utama Muhammad Fahmi, S.Kom., M.Kom dan Pembimbing Pendamping Jundro Daud Hasiholan, S.Kom., M.Kom Kata Kunci: Sistem Penjadwalan Seminar, Rule-Based, Penjadwalan Seminar Akademik, PHP, MySQL. Proses penjadwalan seminar akademik di STMIK Widya Cipta Dharma masih dilakukan secara manual sehingga berpotensi menimbulkan bentrok jadwal dosen, ruangan, maupun waktu pelaksanaan seminar. Selain itu, proses pengajuan dan verifikasi jadwal masih memerlukan waktu yang cukup lama karena dilakukan melalui pemeriksaan secara manual oleh pihak admin. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan suatu sistem yang mampu membantu proses pengajuan, verifikasi, dan pengelolaan jadwal seminar secara lebih efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun sistem penjadwalan seminar akademik berbasis web menggunakan metode Rule-Based untuk meminimalisasi bentrok waktu dan ruangan. Sistem dikembangkan menggunakan metode pengembangan Waterfall, bahasa pemrograman PHP, basis data MySQL, serta dijalankan pada web server XAMPP. Metode Rule-Based diterapkan untuk melakukan validasi terhadap pengajuan jadwal seminar berdasarkan aturan yang telah ditentukan, meliputi pemeriksaan bentrok dosen pembimbing, dosen penguji, ruangan, serta waktu pelaksanaan seminar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem yang dibangun mampu memfasilitasi mahasiswa dalam melakukan pengajuan jadwal seminar secara daring serta membantu admin dalam mengelola data mahasiswa, data dosen, melakukan verifikasi pengajuan, dan mengelola jadwal seminar. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian menggunakan metode Black Box Testing, seluruh fungsi utama sistem berjalan sesuai dengan yang diharapkan. Penerapan metode Rule-Based mampu mendeteksi bentrok jadwal berdasarkan aturan yang telah ditetapkan sehingga dapat membantu meminimalisasi bentrok waktu dan ruangan dalam proses penjadwalan seminar akademik. ============================================================ Suray Galih Wicaksono. 2026. The academic seminar scheduling process at STMIK Widya Cipta Dharma is still carried out manually, which has the potential to cause conflicts in lecturer schedules, seminar rooms, and seminar times. In addition, the process of submitting and verifying seminar schedules requires considerable time because it is performed manually by the administrator. Therefore, a system is needed to support the submission, verification, and management of seminar schedules more effectively. This study aims to design and develop a web-based academic seminar scheduling system using the Rule-Based method to minimize time and room conflicts. The system was developed using the Waterfall development method, the PHP programming language, the MySQL database, and the XAMPP web server. The Rule-Based method was implemented to validate seminar schedule submissions based on predefined rules, including checking conflicts involving supervisors, examiners, seminar rooms, and seminar schedules. The results of this study indicate that the developed system is capable of facilitating students in submitting seminar schedules online and assisting administrators in managing student data, lecturer data, verifying seminar schedule submissions, and managing seminar schedules. Based on the results of Black Box Testing, all major system functions operated as expected. Furthermore, the implementation of the Rule-Based method successfully detected scheduling conflicts according to the established rules, thereby helping to minimize time and room conflicts in the academic seminar scheduling process.
