Abstract

Algoritma naïve bayes merupakan algoritma klasifikasi bersifat statistik yang dilakukan berdasarkan data training sebagai proses klasifikasi untuk data baru. Salah satu penerapan algoritma naïve bayes adalah pembuatan sistem rekomendasi topik skripsi pada prodi teknik informatika. Prodi teknik informatika memiliki beberapa konsentrasi topik skripsi sebagai acuan untuk menentukan topik skripsi. Meskipun banyak tema yang dapat diambil oleh mahasiswa, saat ini masih banyak mahasiswa yang kesulitan dalam menentukan topik skripsi. Oleh karena itu diperlukan sistem rekomendasi untuk memudahkan mahasiswa dalam menentukan topik skripsi Penelitian ini membahas tentang sistem rekomendasi yang menerapkan algoritma naïve bayes dengan menggunakan 241 data mahasiswa prodi teknik informatika STMIK Widya Cipta Dharma Samarinda yang telah selesai pendidikan dengan pembagian data sebesar 80% sebagai data training dan 10% sebagai data testing. Berdasarkan proses pembangunan sistem rekomendasi, digunakan tahapan pengerjaan menggunakan metode waterfall dan pengembangan sistem dilakukan menggunakan framework bootstrap dan menggunakan evalusi model confusion matrix dan mendapatkan akurasi sebesar 80%. Sistem rekomendasi dengan metode naïve bayes diharapkan dapat membantu mahasiswa prodi teknik informatika dalam menentukan topik skripsi yang akan diambil sebagai topik penelitian berdasarkan nilai akademik yang telah didapatkan. ====================== The naïve Bayes algorithm is a statistical classification algorithm that is based on training data as a classification process for new data. One application of the naïve Bayes algorithm is the creation of a thesis topic recommendation system for informatics engineering study programs. Informatics Engineering Study Program has several thesis topic concentrations as a reference for determining thesis topics. Even though there are many themes that students can take, currently there are still many students who have difficulty in determining the topic of their thesis. Therefore a recommendation system is needed to facilitate students in determining thesis topics This study discusses a recommendation system that applies the naïve Bayes algorithm using 241 data from students of informatics engineering study program STMIK Widya Cipta Dharma Samarinda who have completed their education with the data sharing of 80% as training data and 10% as testing data. Based on the recommendation system development process, the stages of work are used using the waterfall method and system development is carried out using the bootstrap framework and using the confusion matrix model evaluation and obtaining an accuracy of 80%. The recommendation system using the naïve Bayes method is expected to be able to help informatics engineering study program students in determining the thesis topics to be taken as research topics based on the academic grades they have obtained.
