Abstract
Algoritma Linear Congruential Generator (LCG) adalah salah satu metode yang umum digunakan untuk menghasilkan deret angka pseudo-acak. Algoritma ini memiliki sifat yang mudah diimplementasikan dan beroperasi dengan cepat, membuatnya cocok untuk digunakan dalam permainan yang memerlukan elemen angka acak seperti kuis (quiz) edukatif. Penelitian ini dilakukan di STMIK Widya Cipta Dharma Samarinda, Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah studi pustaka, pengamatan langsung, dan kuesioner. Dalam penelitian ini, metode pengembangan sistem yang digunakan adalah metodeMultimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) dengan tahapan konsep, desain, pengumpulan material, pembuatan, percobaan dan distribusi. Metode Linear Congruential Generator (LCG) dapat digunakan untuk menghasilkan pengacakan soal. Hasil yang didapat kemudian di konversi menjadi Nomor Soal yang kemudian akan dimunculkan pada display interface Permainan. Setelah melakukan beberapa pengujian, dapat dilihat bahwa Algoritma Linear Congruential Generator Menghasilkan bilangan lebih cepat dan lebih sedikit menggunakan memori pada perangkat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan algoritma LCG secara efektif mampu menghasilkan variasi pertanyaan dan jawaban yang bervariasi dan menantang dalam permainan kuis. ============================================================ The Linear Congruential Generator (LCG) algorithm is one of the commonly used methods to generate a sequence of pseudo-random numbers. This algorithm is characterized by its ease of implementation and fast operation, making it suitable for use in games that require random number elements, such as educational quizzes. This research was conducted at STMIK Widya Cipta Dharma Samarinda. The data collection methods used were literature review, direct observation, and questionnaires. In this study, the system development method employed was the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC), involving stages such as concept, design, material collection, creation, experimentation, and distribution. The Linear Congruential Generator (LCG) method can be employed to generate question randomization. The obtained outcomes are then converted into Question Numbers, which are subsequently displayed on the game's interface. After conducting several tests, it can be observed that the Linear Congruential Generator Algorithm produces numbers more quickly and with less memory usage on the device. The research findings indicate that the effective implementation of the LCG algorithm successfully produces diverse and challenging variations of questions and answers in the quiz game.
