Dalam proses pengajuan judul skripsi tentunya akan melakukan proses menentukan judul skripsi bisa diterima atau tidak oleh program studi (Prodi). Judul skripsi tersebut juga tidak boleh sama dengan judul skripsi yang sudah ada. Maka diperlukan solusi dalam menyelesaikan masalah dalam proses tersebut, yaitu menggunakan metode atau langkah-langkah yang disebut dengan algoritma. Penelitian ini menggunakan algoritma Boyer moore yang diterapkan pada saat program studi (Prodi) melakukan pengecekan judul mahasiswa yang diajukan oleh mahasiswa dan algoritma Boyer Moore ini digunakan untuk pengecekan kesamaan judul skripsi yang diajukan mahasiswa dengan judul yang ada pada database. Kasus yang diangkat dalam penelitian ini yakni penentuan judul skripsi dapat diterima atau tidak berdasarkan persentasi kecocokan judul. Adapun hasil akhir dari penelitian ini yakni berupa layanan pengecekan judul skripsi berbasis web yang dapat mendeteksi kemiripan judul skripsi yang diajukan mahasiswa dengan cara memeriksa persentasi kecocokan kata pada judul yang diajukan dengan kata judul yang ada pada database. ===================================================== Sumartin, 2021, Thesis Title Checking Service Using the Boyer Moore Algorithm at the Web-Based STMIK Widya Cipta Dharma Samarinda. In the process of submitting the title of the thesis, of course, there will be a process of determining whether the title of the thesis can be accepted or not by the study program (Prodi). The title of the thesis may also not be the same as the title of an existing thesis. So a solution is needed to solve the problem in the process, namely using a method or steps called an algorithm. This study uses the Boyer Moore algorithm which is applied when the study program (Prodi) checks the title of the student submitted by the student and the Boyer Moore algorithm is used to check the similarity of the title of the thesis submitted by the student with the title in the database. The case raised in this study is that the determination of the thesis title can be accepted or not based on the percentage of title match. The final result of this research is in the form of a web-based thesis title checking service that can detect the similarity of the thesis title submitted by students by checking the percentage of word matches in the submitted title with the title word in the database.
